became a member of the Green Building Council
The Green Building Council Finland (FIGBC) is a non-profit association of sustainable built environments with a vision of a thriving real estate and construction industry within the planet’s carrying capacity.
We want to be part of the work to promote a sustainable environment and lead the sustainability transition of the real estate and construction industry.
“We want to be at the forefront of sustainability and contribute to building a sustainable society. We feel that learning and development should be continuous, which is supported by the high quality and international activities of the Green Building Council. We expect new knowledge, expertise and development support from our membership,” says Jenni Herkama, Business Director of Rune & Berg Design.
In concrete terms, membership means increasing our understanding, training and networking with pioneers in the field. The real added value will ultimately come from our projects, which are more carbon-neutral, energy-efficient and circular.

Our industry has an essential role in solving the world’s sustainability crises. Promoting energy transition and the circular economy are keys to solving the twin crises of nature and climate. We will achieve the necessary systemic change through collaboration across the value chain.
In line with the Green Building Council’s vision, the future success of our sector will be built on staying within and renewing the planet’s carrying capacity, taking into account the following perspectives.
