Kalasatama Library is among the best in Europe
at the ADCE Awards 2024 final
The ADCE Awards is the 33rd edition of The Best of European Design and Advertising. The ADCE Awards is Europe’s highest benchmark for creative excellence. Only work that has been recognised at the national level can enter the competition. This year, more than 900 entries from 24 European countries took part.
Kalasatama Library was among the top seven in the ADCE Awards 2024 final in the Spatial Design category, the only Finnish entry in its category. The international jury gave the shortlisted award to Kalasatama Library for its exceptional creativity, craftsmanship and execution.

Kalasatama Library's national success in the background
Kalasatama Library won the Visu Awards 2024 in November. At the Vuoden Huiput 2024 Awards, Kalasatama Library was shortlisted in two categories: Experience and Joy.
Kalasatama Library also received a special mention in the Colour Association’s Iris 2024 Award, which was awarded to Rune & Berg Design for outstanding experiential colour design.
Called the “Candy Library”, the Kalasatama Library has also attracted media attention in Finland:
